I have been using Bit-Torrent technology for awhile to retrieve various ‘legal’ files from the internet. But as much as people rave about it, I have yet to experience the real amazing-ness of it’s speed. Perhaps I have it configured incorrectly or at the very least it’s not optimized on my computer. But, today it finally happened, without any additional configuration. I was downloading a folder containing a few music files and I reached speeds upwards of 300KiB/sec which to me was unheard of until now. And this was on a wireless connection.
I must say it’s times like these that make me think back to the good old days of Napster or WinMX when things were simpler and the real download speeds were around.
